Tips and tricks

While entering the transaction description Monex offers a list of similar descriptions already entered. Choosing a description from the list (mouse click or ENTER) enters all transaction data as previously entered.

The example shows the offered transaction while entering description.
Selecting the offered transaction will fill in all transaction information (except the date) and will set the focus on the amount edit box.

Calculating amount

While entering the amount you can perform basic calculations (+, -, *, /) by pressing the corresponding buttons on the numeric keyboard ("+", "-", "/" or "*").
To switch from a positive to a negative amount or vice versa just press "-" twice in a row.
Check out the
keyboard and shortcuts section for more info.

The example shows a simple list of calculations. Pressing ENTER or TAB will perform the evaluation.

Confirm and not confirmed

Each transaction has a confirmation flag,
which should indicate that a transaction was carried out.

A transaction is grayed out (see example below) if it is not confirmed
or it is a transaction in the future. A future confirmed transaction is also grayed out.
